Sport Northland administers funding on behalf of Oranga Tamariki for providers wanting to deliver free holiday programmes in the Whangārei and Far North Districts. Programmes must incorporate activities to keep participants engaged and will be beneficial to their growth and development. This is for youth aged 11 to 13 years or 14 to 18 years.
Break-Away Holiday Programmes must run for at least 4 hours each day (Monday - Friday) with a minimum of 60 minutes of physical activity a day.
Applications are currently closed for Break-Away Holiday Programme Funding. If you are interested in being considered for future funding to become a Break-Away Holiday Programme Provider, please email funding@sportnorth.co.nz.
