It’s a real buzz around the community of Kaikohe with great things happening.

Thanks to Kaikohe and Districts Sportsville, Northland Regional Council, Sport Northland and Kaikohe Rugby Football & Sports Club (KRFSC), the start of facility upgrades at Lindvart Park are happening.

KRFSC has been fundraising for playing lights and though Sportsville were able to apply to the Regional Sporting Facilities rate and were successful with $100,000 allocated to install the lights, which is stage 1 of the reserve upgrade.

The lights will be up and running in April allowing more teams to train and play under lights utilising the facility more.
