Sector Strategy & Insights and Evaluation Lead

We are on the lookout for a special person to join our team.  The position is full-time, permanent and based in our Whangārei office.


Mō te tūranga/Primary Purpose

Lead the Sector Strategy & Community Funding team to lead and support the implementation of Kōkiri ai te Waka Hourua strategy plans with lead organisations / partners; and lead the dissemination of community funding including Tū Manawa Active Aotearoa and Break Away.

Responsible for the development and delivery of the insights and evaluation work programme and ensuring that insights and evaluation are consistently used to influence decision-making.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person that:

  • Has experience in people leadership
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Strong organisational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Has a sound knowledge and experience in implementing strategy (including identifying opportunities and influencing the inclusion of play, active recreation and sport in work plans to achieve holistic health and wellbeing benefits to all)
  • Values healthy and active lifestyles.

We are on the lookout for a special person to join our team. If you have a passion for health and wellbeing (including healthy eating, and being physically active), a drive to support individuals / whānau on their hauora journey to make small achievable changes, we want to hear from you!


Mō te tūranga/Primary Purpose

To support individuals and whanau to make small achievable changes to improve their health and wellbeing.  Active Families / Green Prescription focuses on supporting healthy behaviour change by developing sustainable physical activity and nutritional habits.

We offer a number of growth and development opportunities, wellness benefits, flexible working conditions and embrace an innovative approach to mahi.

The successful candidate will need a full clean driver's license and must have the right to live and work in New Zealand and must value healthy lifestyles.  A deep understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi is a huge advantage and highly valued.  The position is 40 hours Active Families / Green Prescription support per week based in our Whangarei office and requires flexibility and may include some evening and weekend work from time to time.
